William in Royan
I had an email from William on Thursday afternoon in which he told me that he
“had a good look around this afternoon”
which included a chance to examine the course of the 48hr race first-hand.
William tells me that the
“Weather is warm with a piercing bright sun between 10 and 5pm”
but added that it is
“then very cold overnight”
– which equates to a
“big contrast between day and night.”
Hopefully neither dazzling sunshine nor a drop in night-time temperature will have any adverse effect on the runners, but as always we will find out for sure during the course of the race.
More news as I get it,
Shaun
