As I type William has around 22hr left to go, having so far run the equivalent of more than 16 and a half marathons during the first 122hrs of the non-stop 6-day race.

William (age 57) is currently leading the race, still  around 21.5 miles / 35km ahead of his toughest opponent, Hans-Jürgen Sclotter of Germany (who is ten years younger than William).

As we enter the final stages of the race (even though there is still a long way left to go), William will now start cutting back on his rest breaks and spend as much time on track as possible…

I’ll be posting updates regularly as now the big question is simply – how far can William go?
