Record breaking run in Hamm 6 Day
I’m just surfacing again after my record breaking run in Hamm. The week after the race was highlighted by an over-whelming general fatigue with the brain ‘fogged’ by the whole experience. No particular injuries that I’m aware of and just one black toenail although feet are generally sore. Did a 45 minute session of aquajogging this afternoon which went well and this will be the start of my return to physical activity!
The Hamm stats were 857.07km/532.56 miles –
All-Time Scottish Record (Modern); Scottish track record;
British M50 Record; personal best by 32 miles and won race by 172 miles.
Had a massage on Tuesday and the masseur was delighted with me. Looking forward now to returning to normal life again and resuming a training programme.
