The Athens Ultramarathon Festival venue has been moved slightly just over 2 weeks from the races taking place.  The event will now happen 500m further north on the extensive Hellenikon Olympic Complex south of Athens.  This vast area was, prior to 2004, the Athens International Airport but was closed and converted to an Olympic Park ready for the 2004 Games.

The ultramarathon races will now take place around the Olympic Hockey all-weather pitch/stadium and the adjoining practise pitch.  The lap length will remain as 1km and the course is still classified as ‘road’.
