Delighted to have been invited back to the Surgeres 48 Hour race in France next May – this is the de-facto “World 48 Hour Championships”.  Disappointed that I have had to decline the invitation.  My main priority next spring is my double record attempt in Athens in April 2009 (see upcoming post).  There is only 6 weeks between the Athens event and Surgeres.  This is too short for me to be able to be sure of a top performance in Surgeres hence my declining of this much sought after invitation.
