I was honoured to be invited by the Convener of the Orkney Islands Council to a buffet reception in the Council chambers last night, in Kirkwall.

Sporting success was being officially recognised for myself (1000 Mile World Cup) and Orkney’s nationally successful rugby team and ladies hockey and netball squads.

A good night was had by all and ‘hats off’ to the OIC for giving us all a pat on the back!
