At 6hrs, Finland leads the field in the Men’s 24hr race, with Finnish competitors occupying the 1st, 2nd and 3rd

positions (with Scotland’s Paul Hart in 4th).

The current top 3 are :

1  – Janne Klasila with a distance of  69.03 km
2 – Kari Salomaa with a distance of 67.86 km
3 – Jari Soikkeli with a distance of 66.69 km

But with another 18 gruelling hours ahead of the runners, it is still very much anyone’s race – no-one wins a medal for leading at the quarter way mark – the winner is always the runner with the fastest average speed throughout the entire 24hrs…
