Heat Training: 2nd Session
In order to start boosting up the humidity (it tends to fall as the heat from the halogen heaters rises) I put the humidifier on a time clock and it came on 2½ hours before I started. I’ll starting making it earlier and earlier to keep the humidity high enough.
Today the session was less of a mental ‘shock’ but still a physical shock as revealed by the stats. Once th etemp is over 25C and especially over 30C the impact of run pace is really dramatic.
Starting temp/humidity 12.4C/74%; Finishing 36.6C/64%
Lowest running speed at a HR of 125 was 7.6kph so lower than yesterday!
