48hr Sweden 2012 – And they’re off…

Alan tells me that the race started on time (12 noon in Sweden, 11am UK).
Veteran ultra-runners Richard & Sandra Brown (both of the UK, Male 65+ & Female 60+ respectively) who were entered in the race unfortunately have not made the starting line.
Yiannis Kouros of Greece (M55), generally regarded as probably the greatest ultra-distance runner of all time, has started the 48hr and will be running in the same age category as William.
Alan says that so far the “Weather is fine just now but showers forecast for later tonight.”
Alan added that there had been “Good preparation by William and he has started very smoothly and in a relaxed manner.”
