3100 Mile Race : Sri Chinmoy “Self-Transcendence” USA : William 550 miles+
Things have been a bit quiet on the blog over the last few days but that’s certainly not been the case in USA.
The latest figures I have show William to have covered a little over 550 miles (at the end of day 9). To be exact, his distance was 551.54 miles.
William has been running to plan, taking things conservatively in the early stages of the race – and let’s just pause here to remember that by “the early stages of the race” we are talking about the first week or two of running – Which is, even by William’s usual 6-8 day race standards, a somewhat mind-boggling long time to be racing.
The biggest challenges that William has been facing have been the heat-wave that has been cooking the whole of New York, coupled with the extra demands of running without support from a crewman – I’ll be explaining more about this in my next few posts.
More soon,
Shaun
