3100 Mile Race : Sri Chinmoy “Self-Transcendence” USA : A message from CLAN cancer support
Throughout the 3,100 miles, William (who is himself a cancer survivor) is raising money to help the cancer support charity CLAN and to encourage others to take up exercise and improve their health.
Here is a message for William from CLAN cancer support in Kirkwall, Orkney.
Hello William
We have been following your progress on line over the last 2 ½ weeks. The CLAN Cancer Support charity shop is featuring your daily and weekly totals on our Challenge William board and this is attracting much interest in the town.
This is an incredible journey you are undertaking and it is great that so many have signed up to match your mileage. It is heartening to see so many out walking, running and cycling as well as swimming their pledged number of miles. You have spurred on so many to increase their daily/weekly exercise regime.
From the photos, it looks extremely hot which is definitely not the weather you are used to in Sanday but I am sure your training will stand you in good stead.
We wish you well on daily challenge and will continue to check in on line with your progress.
Take care and good luck!
